ABOUT EL BARRIO

Every year on the last weekend of August, the park area around the Museum of Applied Arts is transformed into the temporary neighborhood EL BARRIO DE EUROPA. Initiated by AMP, Emma Metzler, Jazz Montez e.V., NONOT and in collaboration with the Museum of Applied Arts, EL BARRIO offers a relaxed and family-friendly retreat: A world of flavors produced by the trendiest eateries in the city; a world of musical exploration on multiple stages late into the night, spanning from contemporary jazz to Afrobeat and rap, to house and electronic music; and a world of human dialogue where humanitarian and civil society organizations introduce themselves.
